This MeshCore repeater is located in Bellbrook, Ohio 45305, on a 70' tower.
The original all-in-one RFGEEK repeater (left pic) was altered by removing the main circuit board and re-mounting on a panel inside my shack.
Now, the only MeshCore device on the tower is a different antenna Rockland, connected by 80' of LMR-600 coax into the shack. All other pieces are located on the ground in my shack.
FAQ 1: why did you separate the all-in-one repeater, creating the need for coax?
It wasn't to enhance the performance; instead a matter of convenience. If this all-in-one repeater was mounted on the roof of my QTH (and easy to get to via a step ladder), I would of kept it together. But the requirement to climb a 70' tower every time I wanted to test something, repair something, change something...
was something I wasn't going to do.

FAQ 3: where's the solar panel?
The RFGEEK repeater can be purchased in two configurations, Solar (comes with batteries and solar panel) and 12vdc non-solar. I already had a 12vdc source (battery and generator backed) in my hamshack, so I bought the 12vdc version, and ran a power cable from my shack to the top of the tower. As you can see, I eventually relocated everything (except the antenna) back on the ground in my shack; and still running the device off of 12vdc.
