Interfacing a SignaLink USB to a D578
Case Prep
Remove case back and drill 9/32" hole (J drill) in the location shown. I suggest you first drill a 1/8" pilot hole:

Install jack with provided hex nut.
while routing added wires to safe locations within the mic enclosure...place handmic halves together and reassemble:

You will need to activate the handmics built-in speaker:

Amazon sells a nice cable, with the 4c 3.5mm molded plug on one end and flying leads on the other:
Just crimp on a RJ-45 and you're ready to go.

This cable is not shielded, but it worked OK for me, but I cut it down to 2.5' in length.
if your SignaLink has a SLMOD6PM connector board, then the RJ-45 end is configured like this:
Using the above Amazon cable, the colors at the RJ-45 end are:
BLK - TX ModYell - GND
Red - PTT
White - RX Aud
Note: this is not the cable used in the video; the cable in the video was an earlier test cable.
