This is for the DR-1801... and not the DM-1801. The CPS program is different for each version.
If you're not certain which model you have, remove the battery and read the lable on the back of the radio.

Baofeng DR-1801
Hints:
* If you don't already have the DR-1801 program software, you can download it HERE.* Although the USB Baofeng cable looks identical to the Anytone USB cable, the Anytone cable will not work on the 1801.
Note: I own 3 Baofeng USB cables; they look identical... but only one works on this 1801.
Initial Setup:
Left/Right Click HERE (save as) to download a beginning codeplug that will get you on the air fast (if given a choice, do not save this as a text file). This is a basic program file with two zones. The first zone is all DMR including the groups used on Timz DMR repeater; and other zone is all analog channels - local analog repeaters.
You will need to edit this Codeplug, to enter in your digital ID number.
note: you will need a digital radio ID; it's easy & free. click: https://www.radioid.net/#!
click the box near the bottom of the page: "I AGREE TO THE ABOVE TERMS AND CONDITIONS", and then click "Register Account"
After you load this codeplug into your software program; make the following changes:
* Under Basic Configs screen, enter in your call sign (Radio Name), and digital ID (Radio ID).
* Save your codeplug under a new name.
* program your radio with this codeplug.
If you use the Timz Quick List codeplug, the buttons are configured as shown below:
To change channels, thumb up/dn using the center control
To change Zones, press & release the ZONE side button, then thumb up/dn using the center control to select a different zone. Then press the MENU button to select.
To change TX power output wattage, press & release the top button.
...even though this radio is dual band (2m & 440) it is a single radio; not a "twin band" type. It can only receive one channel/freq at a time. My codeplug is set up to display a single VFO. You can still access any memory channel (VHF or UHF) with the radio configured this way. You can change the radio to show dual freqs if you wish.
